Let me introduce the latest Lumos L1 solar box with a 320-watt hours battery and 160-watt Solar panel, this solar system is the most advanced system recently offered by Lumos. Many call it MTN Solar while some call it MTN Yellow Box but they are the same because Lumos partnered with MTN Nigeria to bring subscription-based solar systems which is why the Lumos Solar is also called MTN Solar System and Yellow Box.
Let us not forget, that Lumos first introduced the Eco and Prime solar system which I have reviewed
Lumos ECO VS Prime–Solar Home System (No subscription required), in that review I compared the 2 solar systems and as well shared the information about their capacities and how you can pay for it outrightly without any monthly subscription.
However, we have another baby in the house and that is
Lumos L1 solar system we are going to find out how good it is and how it compares to other models like Lumos Eco and Prime. Be rest assured that all the information provided on this page is accurate because it's from Lumos directly.
What is Lumos L1 solar
The Lumos L1 Solar System is an advanced and innovative solar power solution that provides clean, renewable energy for residential and commercial use. It is designed to harness the power of the sun and convert it into usable electricity, helping users reduce their reliance on traditional grid-based electricity and lower their carbon footprint.
One of the key features of the Lumos L1 is its portability and ease of installation. The system is compact and lightweight, allowing for quick and effortless setup. This makes it an ideal choice for those living in remote areas or for emergency backup power during natural disasters or grid outages.
The Lumos L1 Solar System consists of solar panels, an inverter, and a battery storage unit. The solar panels are made up of high-efficiency photovoltaic cells that absorb sunlight and convert it into electrical energy. These panels can be easily mounted on rooftops or other suitable locations with optimal sun exposure.
The inverter is a crucial component of the system, responsible for converting the DC (direct current) electricity generated by the solar panels into AC (alternating current) electricity that can be used to power household appliances and devices. It ensures a seamless transfer of energy for uninterrupted usage.
Additionally, the Lumos L1 Solar System features a battery storage unit, which allows users to store excess energy generated during the day for use during the night or when sun exposure is limited. This ensures a constant and uninterrupted power supply and reduces dependency on the grid/NEPA.
One of the notable advantages of the Lumos L1 is its LCD usage display that let users know about the energy consumption, battery storage levels and more.
Moreover, the Lumos L1 Solar System is designed with safety and durability in mind. It incorporates built-in surge protection, overheating prevention mechanisms, and weather-resistant components to ensure reliable performance in various environmental conditions.
To conclude, the Lumos L1 Solar System offers an efficient, convenient, and sustainable solution for generating and utilizing solar power. With its easy installation, portability, smart monitoring capabilities, and robust construction, it is a reliable choice for transforming sunlight into clean energy for both residential and commercial purposes.

Lumos L1 VS Lumos Prime
When I saw Lumos L1, I was wondering the reason behind the introduction of the Lumos L1 because Lumos Prime offers similar specifications but there is one thing that differentiates them.
The Power output: Lumos Prime comes with 85 watts output while Lumos L1 supports 150 watts output, this simply means that the L1 is stronger and designed to power more appliances than the Lumos Prime. However, when it comes to power storage, Lumos Prime offers a 330-wh while Lumos L1 has a 320-wh. They both have 160-watt solar panels bigger than the 80-watt solar panel that comes with Lumos ECO solar system.
