The DSTV Xtraview service is designed to enable one use one subscription on at least two DStv decoder, example, if you have a Dstv premium subscription and you want to enjoy it both in your room and in the living room. The kids can watch the cartoon in the bedroom,the dad can enjoy his movie in the lounge and mum can follow her favourite series in her bedroom all at the same time.


Setting an Xtra view feature on the new single view 5 Series(Zappa) decoders might be a bit tricky because of the unavailability of the Rf-out point unlike the normal xtra view activation on their explora and HD decoders.


All things being equal, you will have to pay a service charge of #2,600 for the Extra-View/XtraView feature. You will need two DStv Zappa decoder.






You will also have to buy a DStv Smart LNB(bought separately from DStv office at a cost around N10,000).



To activate an extra view on the new Zappa decoders, track their signals as usual and replace the regular LNB with the smart LNBf.

As shown in the image, connect one cable to the uni-cable A and another to the uni-cable C.

Connect the A to the primary decoder and connect the C to the secondary decoder.

It is recommended you use a 80cm dish and their Smart LNB for all new Extra-View/XtraView installations.
