A Few months ago, Itel announced and finally unveiled their best flagship smartphone, "itel S23", which features between 4GB RAM - 8GB RAM that can be extended up to 8GB to 16GB RAM. It also comes with a high-quality 50 dual super clear camera and 128GB internal storage memory.

Just before the release of the S23, we have seen the itel P40 making headlines with its 6000 mAh battery and other unique features. However, despite the big battery, the new itel S23 is far ahead regarding other features like camera, memory Size, display quality and performance.

What's Special about itel S23

Some years back, itel was seen as a cheap and inferior phone. Still, the game is changing now because they are getting close to the like of Tecno and Infinix, and yes, we appreciate them for providing options for Nigerians who cannot afford expensive phones. Let me explain what makes this phone different from other itel phones.

Big 16GB RAM

As we know, RAM stands for "Random Access Memory" and helps the phone hold and process data. Big RAM means better performance and multitasking power, and this is the first itel phone to come with such big RAM. However, the actual RAM of the phone is 8GB RAM, but with the help of Memory fusion technology, you can cut another 8GB Memory space from the phone storage and add to the phone RAM, which means 8+8 = 16GB.

Note: itel S23 comes in two memory sizes:

* 8GB RAM/ 128GB ROM
* 4GB RAM/ 128GB ROM

Now, if you buy the one with 4GB RAM, you can only extend the RAM to 8GB, that is 4+4=8, while those with the 8GB RAM model will be able to increase to 16GB (8+8=16GB). The built-in storage memory is just the same, 128GB.

50MP Ultra Camera

itel S23 comes with the best camera configurations you have ever seen in any itel phone. With the dual 50MP camera, you can surely capture that special moment and event in a grand style. However, the front camera is not super cool but not too bad with an 8MP front selfie camera compared to most itel phones.

Display & Design

Undoubtedly, itel S23 looks smooth and colourful with the rounded camera and an LED flash at the back of the phone. The screen size is nothing extraordinary but a 6.6-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz fast refresh rate, which makes it stand out.

At the front, the phone offers a Fullscreen water drop display which gives room for the selfie camera at the top centre of the phone. You might be asking about the fingerprint sensor location, but it's located at the side of the phone, just like most modern smartphones.

Type-C charging port + 5000 mAh & 10W fast charging

I wouldn't say I like any phone without Type-C charging port because the old model always has problems, but Type-C charging port is durable and reliable. Apart from itel P40, I don't know if any other older model of itel phone comes with a Type-C charging feature.

However, the new itel S23 is powered by a 5000 mAh battery and 10W fast charging, which is good enough; even an expensive smartphone hardly goes beyond a 5000 mAh battery, so you should be undoubtedly okay with itel S23.
