The Tecno Spark Go 1 was announced and released in August 2024 and presently most of the Nigeria shopping malls like Slot, 3C hub and Jumia don't have it yet. However, looking at similar phones with close specifications. The phone will sell between N140,000 - N165,000

Note: Tecno Spark Go 1 is a nice looking phone with all the basic features needed in a smartphone. However, it's a budget friendly phone that might not have advanced features available in most high end and expensive smartphones.

4.5G Fast Network: we have been seeing and hearing about 4G LTE and 5G network but Tecno added extra speed on the new Spark Go 1 to make it faster than the regular 4G LTE enabled smartphones. According to Tecno, the 4.5G network is 100% faster than the 4G network.

IP54 Water Resistance: This simply means that the Spark Go 1 is protected against  dust and water splashes but that doesn't mean that you should expose your smartphone to water consistently, if you do that you might damage the phone.

120Hz Screen Refresh rate: While this isn't new for most Tecno mid and high-end smartphones, it's new for a low budget smartphone like this to support 120Hz refresh rate and that's a plus for the phone.

Before the release of Spark Go 1 there was a Spark Go which was released in December 2023. Now, let's see how the features of Spark Go 1 are compared to its predecessor (Spark Go 2024).

The Spark Go 1 has a screen size of 6.67 inch IPS LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate while the Spark Go has 6.6 inch IPS LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate. They are both designed with a plastic body and front glass screens. Their memory Sizes are the same 3/4GB + 64/128GB.

Spark Go 1 is equipped with the latest Android 14 (Go edition) together with Tecno's HIOS 14 Operating system while the Spark Go 2024 comes with Android 13 (Go edition) and HIOS 13 OS. This means that Spark Go 1 comes with a newer Android operating system compared to its predecessor.

Looking at the battery, both phones are powered by 5000 mAh battery but Spark Go 1 is better with 15W fast charging compared to 10W fast charging that Spark Go 2024 offers. The charging port is the same Type-C, OTG. Their fingerprint sensor is mounted by the side of the phone.
