Recently, I formatted my phone and lost my Gtbank mobile and internet banking user ID and password which I no longer remember but I managed to request and was able to retrieve my login details using GTWORLD mobile banking app.
If you lost your Gtbank mobile and internet banking details then you don’t need to worry because you can easily retrieve those details by visiting Gtbank official website or using their mobile app just the way I did mine.
What you need
I will teach you how I was able to get my online banking details using Gtworld mobile banking application but before then, there are few things you need such as your phone number, A/C number, your ATM Card and the PIN, An Android phone with at least 40MB data and unfortunately, you cannot do this using Gtbank 737 shortcode because such option doesn’t exist on 737.
You must use the phone number that you normally receive an alert with which will be used to send you some verification numbers during the internet banking request process and your ATM card/PIN will be used to verify that you are the real owner of the account.
Step by step guide on how to get Gtbank mobile and internet banking login details
To get started the first thing you need to do right now is to download GTworld mobile banking app from Google play store or from this post here.
The GTworld mobile app will take you between 19MP -32MB data to download and once you are done simply open and click login.
You will see the option to log in but since you don’t have the details click on signup below, you will be taken to another page where you will have to decide whether you are registering for mobile banking for the first time or retrieving your old banking login details.
Select signup for mobile banking if you want to register for mobile banking or select the option, request for mobile banking details.
Since you are requesting for your old login details you will be taken to another page where you will need to input your account details, 6 digit verification numbers will be sent on the number you used to receive an alert with, then input the numbers and click next.
The next page is where you will need to verify that you are the real owner of the account number, you might be asked to input last 6 numbers on your ATM Card including the pin with another 6 digit verification numbers that will be sent to you, once you are done click next.
Finally, the next step is to connect your phone, I mean your phone, not sim to your account which helps the system recognize the type of phone you use to be able to grant access to such phone in terms of login and transactions.
Note:
You will be asked to choose the suitable verification option between a Pin and Token when handling a transaction using GTbank mobile app and I recommend you choose Pin instead of token unless you have the Gtbank Token hardware device.
Once you successfully followed the process correctly your internet and mobile banking login details will be sent to your email or to your phone number.
Copy down your Banking ID in a safe place and log in using the GTworld app with the login details sent to you and you will be taken to a page where you will need to change the default password numbers and done.
