Many people is aware that we can now use our mobile phones to check our Bank account, Transfer money/funds, to other bank account and to buy Recharge cards.

There are many ways you can activate mobile banking on your phone, example going to your bank, sending activate to some short codes etc but this method is the method that will enable you check your balance and transfer funds or recharge your phone with Going to your bank or sending any short codes etc

How to Activate and Access your Bank account using your mobile phone:

In this method all you need to do to Access your bank account using your mobile phone is simply  picking up your mobile phone and if you go to you mobile phone main menu, scroll to Magic Plus, select magic plus and press OK and the following options will appear on your screen:

1. Information
2. News
3. Football
4. Entertainment
5. Business Service
6. M. Banking
7. Register
8. More

When you see the above options kindly select M. Banking and press ok and another option will appear such as:

1. My-fone Bank
2. My-Bank
3. Transfer

Now you have to select My-Bank and press OK and you will see another options like the following:

1. Check-Balance
2. Statement
3. Recharge

Select Check Balance and press OK and you will see the last option which is:

1 Bank

Now write the name of the bank you are operating in abbreviation, the abbreviation should not be more than three alphabets, example if you are using First Bank of Nigeria you need to write FBN and press OK and an option to input your account number will appear:

Account Number:
Writing your account number and press OK, you will see your Bank Balance on your screen and if in a case your phone asks you for password code, then you need to visit the nearest branch of your bank to collect your own account passcode, after that keep it save and use it anytime you want to do mobile banking.

The above procedure is only available to GLO users and for MTN users you need to activate your WAP or GPRS to enable you get connected to the internet.
